Kerrang Cover Analysis

The title of “KERRANG” is always in the same font and always in the same place. Although on this issue fall out boy heads are covering part of the title the consumers still no analysis. Although the title of Kerrang is the most important item on the cover the two people out of fall out boy covers part of it this suggests to me that the main story in this magazine is going to be about fall out boy. Also the two band members look very “cool” which makes people want to be like them so they buy the magazine. There is also a big titel of "free posters" this is an incentive to buy this magazine. The editor of this magazine use diffrent snaps shot and put them in a traditional photo format this gives you and idea of what else is inside the magazine. There is also a revrence to " Life is loud" which suggets life is enjoyable and that a revrence to music.

The title Smash Hits stands out the most because it is big and bright compared to the dullish grey background. After this the photo of the two men stand out to me the expression on their faces gives and impression that they are unstable characters because they are not smiling also they are all in black which gives off an negative image. It is clear that the “Pet Shop Boys” is the main story. It is the biggest font on the cover exempt from the title of the magazine. Also it is in a font that you would expect to associate with a band such as the pet shop boy’s. As well as this there are plenty of big artists which persuade people to buy the magazine because they are artists that everyone has heard of such as Bon Jovi and Kylie Minogue. The background is a dullish grey this draws your attention to the photos and text. Finally there is a banner like effect near the bottom of the cover this is used again because it is different technique to the rest of the magazine and therefore draws your attention to it. There is no price on the front cover this could because the price could people of buying the magazine.
